BRANDS THAT IGNORE SOCIAL MEDIA WILL DIE.

The first time I read this statement, I kept asking myself the intentions of the writer.

You mean all these small businesses scattered all over the streets don't have a chance of survival?

That is quite heartbreaking. E touch me like kilode.

Then I continually asked myself why they don't seem to grow.

Even when it seems they are growing, they are only doing so on a local scale.

They can afford to build a house and own a car.

But this is only a few fraction of them.

The bible says a city that is built on a hill cannot be hidden.

If Social media is a hill, then your business and that of your client is he city.

It cannot be hidden.

That is why we are having this conversation so that you can be open to ways in which your brand and that of your cliets can gain the attention of the market.

The money you are looking for is simply disguising under ATTENTION.

Once you can give attention to other people's brand or to your own brand, you tend to see a whole lot of progress.

One of the best channels to use for social media marketing is Instagram.

Ever since 2010 when the app was established, it has helped more than 1 million businesses place themselves in the perking order of online presence.

People are willing to pay you when you master this. Over 500 million people login to instagram daily. So, you see that there is a market here.

One of the first things you need to know is the need to optimize.

Whether it is your account or that of your client, you need to make sure it is properly optimized.

By optimizing, I mean you should place it in such a way that when people search for it, it can easily be seen.

At this juncture, it is very important to note that there is a very big difference between name and username.

The name refers to the values the brand offers. This is problem the brand is trying to solve.

And then the username can be anything you want it to be.

A lot of my students have argued with me as regards this.

 Truth is, instagram algorithm recognizes your name. That is where the real optimization lies. 

The username can be anything. Just like I have stated before now.

Another thing you need to know how to do very well if you want to dominate Instagram is how you can craft a bio that sells.

if your bio cannot sell, you cannot scale.

A good bio that can sell has three features.

1. Who you are.

2. What you can help people do.

3. What you have for them.

There are so many methods to use to craft a great bio but the one above is my favourite.

And finally, your bio must have a link.

For very big brands, have a link to your landing page.

While for small brands, you should have a link to your whatsapp inbox.

This doesnt apply to you only but also to the brands you serve.

Honestly, I cannot over emphasize this. If you don't have brands that you model, your brand will not scale.

I usually tell people that there is no need to reinvent the wheel.

There is no need to try to invent something entirely new.
